This scene depicts the pivotal historical flashback where the Salvatore brothers transition from mortals into vampires during the year 1864.
The Tragedy: Stefan and Damon are shot and killed by their own father, Giuseppe Salvatore, while attempting to rescue the vampire Katherine Pierce from the town’s capture.
